ARTIST IN RESIDENCE

SATURN SAAB of Kitchener/Waterloo is the proud sponsor of the Artist in Residence Program.

The Children's Museum is pleased to welcome Pearl Van Geest Artist in Residence for 2004/2005.

Pearl is an accomplished artist who began exhibiting her work shortly after graduating from the Ontario College of Art & Design. Pearl also had stong ties to the arts community through her involvement with CAFKA, the Guelph Arts Festival, Kitchener-Waterloo Art Gallery and Wellington County Museum.

Join Pearl for many exciting projects including:

"The Machine" - Help create this mechanical marvel! This evolving and growing work of art will be built and displayed on the Museum's 4th Floor. Check the Daily Activities Schedule for details.

"Technically Speaking" - This exhibit showcases a compliation of work by grade 11 & 12 students from Eastwood Collegiate Institute.  This exhibition explores the ways in which technology has shaped society and comments, from the students' points of view, on its impact. On display until February 6, 2005.

 

ONGOING PROGRAMS

Every Tuesday and Thursday 10:30 to 11am

Activities, crafts and storytelling for kids 6 months to 4 years.  This gallery has been designed with our youngest visitors in mind and is guaranteed to stimulate the senses!

Toddler art classes

Every Wednesday 10:15 to 11:15am

Kids 2 to 4 years of age, and their caregivers can explore art & technology at play.
